Bean there, run that. 🫘😀👟

26.2 miles down and there’s only one place to celebrate — squished reflections, sweaty medals, and tons of runners all trying to get the perfect shot at the Bean! Chicago marathoners know the drill: no finisher photo is complete without your warped little selfie under Cloud Gate ☁️ it’s just so much fun. Getting excited!

It’s here!!! It’s here! Just so proud and beyond grateful to be launching this very special We Run On Art Chicago Collection of prints, cards, apparel and a few other fun items into the world today!!

I (Jess) can’t even begin to describe how much heart, joy and effort was put into making this happen all summer long. It wasn’t just me though, it was a whole team of big-hearted, smart, spunky and caring people who are all so passionate about every aspect of our sport, about Chicago, and about and making things to help runners celebrate and remember their miles and the moments along the way that transform their lives!

If you’re running Chicago this year or know and love someone who is, we hope you’ll find something here in our collection that makes you smile and celebrate this truly awesome race with!

What’s in the Collection on the WROA site:
⭐️ A limited edition customizable 8x10in illustrated map of the course
⭐️ A series of 7 mini 4x6in prints that are blank on one side, perfect for framing individually or as a set OR for use as a notecard!
⭐️ A special Chicago-themed “You’ve Got This!” greeting card with a standard A2 envelope

And!! This is really cool. We are partnering with our good friends at @wearebaysix (a woman-owned local Raleigh biz!) to make made-to-order COTTON TEES (@comfort_colors long and short sleeve, y’all!), canvas totes, enamel pins and stickers! This store will be open for just two weeks, through 9/14 so items will arrive before race day! The link for this is separate and will be in our profile and stories!

Just so excited to share the We Run On Art Chicago Collection of prints and cards for this year’s race! Each one was hand drawn, imagined and created with care, excitement and love to celebrate one of the most special marathons in the world ❤️⭐🩵 and with hopes that they’ll make you smile and give you something tangible to remember the race or support a runner you love who’s running it.

I’m so excited to share the collection of prints and cards I’ve designed for this years’s Chicago Marathon, which will launch on the We Run On Art web site next week on September 1st! ❤️⭐️🩵

I had so much fun creating a special map with fun illustrations of some of my favorite things about the city and moments along the course, and made mini prints and cards too!

I’ve run this race three times (in 2003 (peep my tee shirt from that year!) 2015 and 2024) and have traveled to the Windy City to cheer for and support our @paceofmecoaching team for seven of the last eight years. There’s truly nothing quite like Chicago and I’m just so excited to share these special pieces with you!

If you’re running or will be there this October, let me know! I would love to help you celebrate with some really special art!

Running is the ultimate “long distance relationship” … We don’t always like it but there’s no question that we love it.

It requires dedication, patience, compromise. It’s both complicated and simple, makes time go by crazy fast and also verrry slowly, feels amazing and also can be extremely painful, fills us up with hope and breaks our hearts, makes us strong and exposes us to our weaknesses, feels like coming home and also takes us on wild adventures …. sometimes these things happen all at once!

Here’s to the love of the run! ♥️ Keep going!
