Our commitment

We Run On Art is for runners of every kind, and that includes how you use this site. We want everyone to be able to browse our work, read the stories behind it, and place an order without running into barriers.

We are working to bring this website in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are the international standard for making web content usable by people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, cognitive, and motor.

What we have done

• We use an accessibility tool on this site that lets you adjust the experience to suit you, including text size, contrast, spacing, and a screen reader friendly view. You will find it at the bottom corner of every page.
• We have reviewed our colours and text sizes against the WCAG contrast requirements.
• We build our pages so they can be navigated by keyboard alone, without a mouse.
• We write descriptive text for our artwork and product images so that screen readers can describe them.
• We use clear headings and structure so assistive technology can move through a page in a sensible order.

Where we are still working

Accessibility is ongoing rather than finished, and we would rather be honest about that than claim otherwise. We are currently working on:

• Reviewing alternative text across our full artwork catalogue, which grows every month.
• Improving the experience of our scrolling collection rows for keyboard and screen reader users.
• Reviewing content supplied by third party tools and apps, which we do not fully control.

If you come across something not listed here, please tell us. It helps.

If something is not working for you

We would genuinely rather hear from you than have you give up on an order.

Email hello@werunonart.com and tell us what happened, which page you were on, and what you were trying to do. If you can tell us what browser or assistive technology you were using, that helps us fix it faster, but it is not required.

We aim to reply within two business days.

If a part of the site is blocking you from ordering, say so in your email and we will take your order directly by email instead. Nobody should miss out on a piece because of a website problem.

Third party content

Some parts of our site rely on third party services, such as our payment and checkout provider and our email tools. We choose partners who take accessibility seriously, but we do not control their code. If you hit a barrier in checkout, please tell us so we can raise it with them and help you complete your order another way.

Formal approach

This statement reflects our current position and is reviewed as the site changes. It is not a claim of full conformance. We Run On Art is operated by Pace of Me, LLC, based in North Carolina.
